Bold Mexican Flavor Above Warwick's Main Street

Handcrafted cantina food, killer margaritas, and a second-floor view worth climbing for in Warwick, NY.

About Us

Up one flight of stairs at 17 Main Street, something shifts. The street noise fades, the smell of charred peppers and warm tortillas takes over, and you're in Bone Yard Cantina, one of the Hudson Valley's most talked-about Mexican spots with over 600 reviews and a 4.5-star reputation to back it up.

The menu swings confidently between cantina classics and creative surprises. Guests rave about servers like Kim, who remembers regulars' orders and checks in at exactly the right moment, no hovering, no disappearing. That kind of attentiveness isn't trained in a day. It's the result of a team that actually gives a damn about the table in front of them.

Warwick is a destination town, and Bone Yard leans into that. People drive out of their way to eat here, not just for the food but for the whole package: the second-floor perch above Main Street, the lively bar energy, and a menu that keeps you coming back to try something new.

What We Offer

The kitchen at Bone Yard Cantina runs a full Mexican-inspired menu built around bold, layered flavors. Expect street-style tacos loaded with proper toppings, enchiladas with house-made sauces, and hearty plates that hold up whether you're stopping in for a quick lunch or settling in for a long dinner.

The bar program matches the kitchen's ambition. Margaritas are made to order and the agave selection gives regulars plenty of reasons to experiment. Weekend brunch adds a creative dimension, including standout crepes that have earned their own following among the lunch crowd. Pair any of it with a well-pulled latte or a house specialty cocktail.

Private events and group dining are welcome in the space, which has the kind of layout and energy that makes celebrations feel natural. Whether you're booking a birthday dinner or just rolling in with a crowd on a Saturday, the kitchen and staff are built to handle it.

"Blatant exclusion and unprofessional management. My experience here was deeply upsetting from start to finish. The moment my mother and I walked in, we were left waiting for a significant amount of time just to be seated. While the decor is nice, the drinks were mediocre at best and the food was a major disappointment; my chorizo tacos arrived cold because our waiter was constantly being pulled away from our table by the manager. The most offensive part of the night was the behavior of the manager (an older white woman with blonde hair). She went from table to table, warmly greeting every single patron and even hugging some. She even went out of her way to spend time chatting with a couple at the bar. Despite making direct eye contact with me several times, she pointedly and intentionally bypassed our table every single time. We were the only ones in the entire restaurant she refused to acknowledge. This wasn't a matter of being "busy"—she had plenty of time to socialize with everyone else. It was a deliberate choice to make us feel unwelcome. I have never been to an establishment where I have felt so racially targeted and invisible. To be looked in the face and then ignored while everyone else is treated like family felt blatantly discriminatory. I cannot recommend this place to anyone who expects to be treated with basic human decency and equality."

"My friend and I had lunch here. The Victoria and the Pesto Chicken crepes were delicious and filling. Their latte was tasty too. We were glad we drove extra miles to this place for lunch on our way home. I would like to try their other place, Bone Yard Cantina, next time I visit this area."

"Kim at Boneyard Cantina is hands down the best server ever. Every time we come in, she remembers our orders, checks in at just the right times, and somehow manages to make the whole experience feel personal and fun. You can tell she genuinely cares about her customers and goes above and beyond to make sure everything is perfect. Service like that is rare, and it’s the reason we always look forward to coming back. If you’re lucky enough to have Kim as your server, you’re in the best hands!"

"Been here three times in two weeks. The food, service, and decor are wonderful. In my opinion, the best restaurant I’ve been to in months! Is a scratch kitchen where everything is fresh. I’ve tried the birria burrito, al pastor tacos, and now shrimp tacos. Each dish has been excellent. Staff has been great and they remembered our drinks after a single visit. Note - it’s on the second floor and there are stairs only. The walk is worth it though."

"First time here & the decor & atmosphere were welcoming. Music was good & not loud to the point a conversation couldn’t be held. I liked the overall vibe coming from the entire place. Food was very good. Fresh Chips & Salsa are given to every table. We enjoyed chicken fajitas, fish & shrimp tacos & a few drinks. Overall, the food was very good & I would like to come back for brunch! Two minor things: one, not enough wait staff working. I’m sure it’s not that way most nights. Two, there’s only 1 bathroom in the entire restaurant - FYI."
